I want it written in perfect language that I don’t stand behind this
I want it recorded in the grand iron ledger with ink made out of god’s piss
The squirrel climbed the ladder to eat nuts out of the gutter now it’s too fat for the return trip
Language does matter wars aren’t won the morning after unless we refine the grift
You see the language must be perfectly clear must be perfectly clear
The language must be suitably appropriate get your best people up in here
No abbreviations or sordid affectations it should be a good, clean read
Syllabically sound on every occasion it won’t be perfunctory
You understand the language must be perfect it must be kept perfectly clear
And of course it must be sustainably aggregate get your best people up in here
Cover all bases make it appear to be faceless to ensure there’s no room for posturing
Go grab some metrics from verified sources and clear out the search history
I won’t be remembered as the guy who stood by
While the language fell bleeding out to the wayside

Every one of Steam Powered Giraffe's tracks is better than the last. And if you've listened to some of their good hits, you know that's saying a lot. b_megamaths

There's a lot of great tracks that I've definitely played over and over on YouTube here, and a lot I've yet to really sink my teeth into. I fully reserve the right to change my mind after listening to this one in full a few times, but for now, I know that Fire Fire's grim, fatalist tone/lyrics and haunting harmonies have long been a favourite of mine. nazmazh
